This is our latest addition to the catalogue of resources we provide. Our bilingual children’s books help children not only see but hear their mother tongue! Like all of our resources, with both parents and/or cares and students in mind, Dee has created this resource to help children become more independent in learning the Gujarati alphabet. Dee strongly believes in the book and thinks it’s a great way to allow language to flourish in every home.
Dee says...
‘I feel the gift of our Mother Tongue is a social responsibility we owe to
the next generation. This is a global issue and the majority of families
around the world are facing the same dilemma - they are not speaking
their Mother Tongue enough. I truly believe my first Gujarati book,
‘Mari Rang Be Range BIladi’ is the start of allowing the different
generations to bond through the power of words.
If nothing is done now, our language(s) will be lost. We’ve been so busy
giving our children wings, may we not forget to give them roots too.’
The book does have a lot of potential to allow not only parents and children to bond but also grandparents and their grandchildren. What better gift can you give than the confidence to speak one’s Mother Tongue?
